The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course will cover basic procedures providing pre-hospital life-saving medical care at the scene of an emergency. It includes assessment, first aid and ambulance transport of ill or injured patients to the hospital emergency room. After completing the course, students will be eligible to take the state certification and licensing examination.

The course starts Tuesday, July 15, 2008, and runs for ten weeks. Classes will meet every Tuesday and Friday from 9am to 2pm.
