Catherine Marcucci

Catherine Marcucci

Catherine Marcucci graduated from MPI's Phlebotomy/EKG Technician program in 2007.

What has been the best part of your experience at MPI?
It introduced me to a field that I love and taught me how to succeed in it!

What has been the best part of your experience in your particular program?
I loved the hands-on experience and learning something new. The small classes made it easy to succeed and the teachers for my courses were just wonderful.

How do you feel that your MPI education has contributed to your career plans and goals?
MPI has put me one step closer to my goals for a lifetime career. I plan on going to Physician Assistant school and this will just make it that much easier for me. Plus it made me realize that I truly do want a career in the health care industry.

Would you recommend MPI as an alternative to college for graduating high school students?
Yes, I think you have a wonderful program here. Your small classes and the teachers here are fantastic. It creates an environment that is very difficult to fail in and they provide you with all the tools necessary for a great career!

Are you currently working in the field of healthcare that you studied at MPI?
I did not search for a job once I graduated from MPI; I was hired immediately from my externship site. I currently still work in the field I graduated in, phlebotomy. It is a per diem position but I work many days throughout the week, which is exactly what I wanted. My job is amazing; I love the work I do. It is challenging and fun at the same time. This is definitely something that was worth doing and I will do it until I get into physician assistant school.
